Rotobrush Vent Sanitizing: The Henderson Owner’s Guide
Vent sanitizing on a Rotobrush system in Henderson typically runs $95 to $180 installed, depending on how many vents we’re treating and the sanitizer concentration your system needs. We stock Rotobrush-compatible sanitizing cartridges and fogger parts on the truck, so most jobs are done in a single visit. Most owners discover a problem the same way: the sanitizer stops misting evenly, the cartridge seats loose, or the fogger runs but barely pushes product into the duct.
Here’s the thing about vent sanitizing in a desert climate. Henderson’s dry air means whatever you’re fogging needs to atomize properly or it just settles as droplets that never reach the duct walls. Roy Castellanos has seen plenty of Rotobrush units where the sanitizing wand was never the problem at all. The cartridge seal dried out from the heat, air leaked around it, and the mist went weak. We check the whole delivery path, not just the part you pointed at.
Which Rotobrush Models This Applies To
We work on the full span of Rotobrush sanitizing setups: the aiR+ and R500 series fogger attachments, the manual pump sprayers, and the inline cartridge holders that mount to the rotary brush head. If your unit has a sanitizer reservoir, a fogging tip, or a cartridge bay, this page applies to you. The Rotobrush sanitizing hardware is deliberately simple, but the part numbers matter. A cartridge for an aiR+ will not seat in the R500’s bay, and forcing it cracks the retention clip. We match by the label on your unit, the cartridge throat diameter, and the fogger tip thread pitch, which is 1/4-inch NPT on most Rotobrush models but not all of them.
Hollis Air Duct Henderson is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with Rotobrush. We use their equipment every week, we know what fails on it, and we keep OEM and quality aftermarket parts in the truck. For most owners, the aftermarket cartridges from Guardsman or Abatement Technologies work fine and cost about 20% less. If your system is under warranty, stick with OEM so you don’t void the coverage.

Signs Your Rotobrush Vent Sanitizing Is Failing
- Weak or uneven mist. The fogger runs but the output dribbles or sputters. Usually a cracked O-ring at the cartridge seat or a partially clogged fogging tip. In Henderson especially, the O-rings dry out fast in garage-stored units.
- Sanitizer leaking around the cartridge base. You see liquid pooling under the reservoir or streaking down the housing. The cartridge seal has flattened from heat cycling. It won’t reseat; it needs replacement.
- The fogger tip clogs within minutes of use. This is almost always crystallized sanitizer left in the tip from the last job. Flushing helps once or twice, but once the orifice is scored, the spray pattern stays uneven until you replace the tip.
- Cartridge won’t lock in. The retention clip or bay ears are worn. On Rotobrush units with plastic bays, this is the single most common failure we see. Metal aftermarket clips fix it permanently.
- Pump builds pressure but no product moves. The pickup tube inside the reservoir has cracked or slipped off the barb. It’s a five-minute fix, but you can’t see it without opening the reservoir.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For Henderson homes, figure $95 to $180 for a complete Rotobrush vent sanitizing service, parts included. On the low end, that’s a routine service call with one or two parts replaced, typically a cartridge and O-ring set. On the high end, you’re looking at a new fogging tip, pickup tube, and full system flush. Parts alone run from $25 for a seal kit to $60 for an OEM Rotobrush cartridge.
Everything is written down before we start. No per-vent add-ons, no price that moves once the van is in your driveway. The work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the sanitizing fails within a year, we come back and make it right at no charge, including a free second visit. That’s the Garrison Standard, and it’s in writing on every ticket.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check a few things yourself: look for liquid pooling at the cartridge base, listen for a hissing sound while the fogger runs, and check the O-rings for flat spots. Those checks take ten minutes and tell you where the problem likely sits. What you shouldn’t do is open a pressurized fogger mid-cycle or try to bore out a clogged tip with a wire. The tip orifice is precision-machined. Scratch it and the spray pattern is gone.
If the cartridge bay is cracked or the pump isn’t building pressure, call us. Roy’s rule on any sanitizing job is simple: if you can’t explain what you’re doing and why, you probably shouldn’t be doing it. Call (775) 383-5847 and we’ll tell you over the phone whether it’s worth a service visit or a part you can swap yourself.
FAQs
A Rotobrush sanitizing cartridge lasts 6 to 12 months in Henderson, with heat being the bigger killer than use. A unit stored in a hot garage will harden its seals and flatten its O-rings even if you barely run it. If you use the system weekly, expect to replace the cartridge every 6 months. Call (775) 383-5847 and we’ll check your unit’s date codes.
Yes, most failing Rotobrush sanitizers can be repaired with a $25 seal and O-ring kit if the problem is caught early. Once the cartridge bay is cracked or the pump is worn, replacement parts are the better call. We’ll tell you which situation you’re in before any work starts.
A standard Rotobrush vent sanitizing service in Henderson takes 45 to 90 minutes, depending on how many vents we’re treating and whether any parts need replacing. We arrive inside the quoted window, work the whole system, and leave the site clean.
Yes, we stock Rotobrush-compatible cartridges, fogging tips, O-ring kits, and pickup tubes on the truck, along with parts for Lennox, Trane, and Carrier systems. Most Henderson jobs are finished in one visit because the part is already in the van. Call (775) 383-5847 for a free estimate.
